Woo hoo! We caught Ava smiling on camera!!

Ava just had her first bath with Mommy and LOVED it. ♡

We are so excited to announce the arrival of our second baby girl, miss Ava Atari. She was born July 18th at 1:42 pm, weighing 6lbs 10oz & 19 inches long.

It is hard to put into words how completely, and breathlessly in love we are. Our entire lives were rerouted for her in an instant, and we cannot remember what it was like to not know her. This baby that we dreamed about for so many months is now real. The tiny chin dimple and chub in her cheeks that we passed down to her, her pursed lips and feathered hair. Her squirmy six pound body, and her wide, deep blue eyes that melt us down to the very core. Nothing about her seems foreign. She belongs to us. Without question. We were made to love her.

She is, quite simply put - perfect.
She is here. Our daughter is finally here.

I went to the hospital at about 8am ( i am 35 weeks) for contraction pains and what not that I've been having since about 5am this morning. I was hooked up to monitors to confirm that I was having contraction that were 2-3 minutes apart that were getting stronger. The whole day I stayed at 3cm dilated & 50% effaced --even though the contractions got to a good 7 on the pain scale. Around 3:30pm (after 11 hours of this) I was given a shot of morphine and gravol and sent home. contractions have since stopped all together. Maybe baby will come soon???
